Herpes vaccination is compulsory for horses housed at Phili La Scuderia. There is a vaccine against EHV-1 and EHV-4, but it does not protect the horse against the neurological form of the disease. However, vaccination can help to reduce the spread of the virus, its transmission to other horses and the severity of the respiratory disease.
Price

CHF 140 per night per horse, including stabling and feed. Daily care and exercise of the horse is not included but can be booked on request.

Just two minutes from the reception of the Castello del Sole, Phili la Scuderia is surrounded by the vineyards and rice fields of the Cantina alla Maggia and offers the perfect setting for your horse: airy stables, an outdoor and indoor training area and a wide choice of rides along the banks of the Maggia river.

As a guest at the Castello del Sole, you can enjoy all the amenities of the hotel, while your horse receives five-star care at Phili La Scuderia. If you wish, you can look after your horse yourself and lunge it in the green meadows of the Castello del Sole.

At six in the morning, Phili La Scuderia is a hive of activity. The first task is to look after three own horses and three guest horses. In addition to a few strokes and fresh water, they all receive individually tailored feed: hay, hay with herbs or muesli. "It is like us humans: They all have different needs and preferences at the start of the day," says Philine Brunner with a smile.
