Fans of wine and food should not miss this tasting: wines from the Cantina alla Maggia are expertly paired with finger food prepared by star chef Mattias Roock.
A tasting created by the teamwork of Antonio Pischedda, Sommelier and Head of the Enoteca Alimentare of Cantina alla Maggia, and Mattias Roock, Executive Chef of Castello del Sole and Locanda Barbarossa, who together have selected ingredients to enhance and exalt the perfect harmony between food and wine.
The result is a tasting of 6 wines, strictly Cantina alla Maggia, masterfully paired with refined finger food, naturally prepared with genuine ingredients. The tasting follows a tour of the vineyards and fields, and will conclude with a tasting of our distillates paired with chocolate from Chocolat Stella.

- La Lepre, Bianco del Ticino DOC, paired with profiterol filled with cream cheese and herbs from our garden
- Il Castagneto, Chardonnay Ticino DOC, paired with a black cornetto stuffed with a fruity lobster cocktail and green asparagus
- Ricordi Orange Wine, Bianco IGT della Svizzera Italiana, paired with a sesame cornetto stuffed with Swiss salmon trout and yuzu
- Bondola, Ticino DOC, paired with a rosemary cracker with fig chutney and Ticino ham from Alpe Piora
- Melodia, Rosso del Ticino DOC, paired with a focaccia with spicy beef tartare and egg yolk cream
- Ascona Riserva, Merlot Ticino DOC Riserva, paired with a tomato cornetto stuffed with marinated lamb entrecote with sun-dried tomatoes and olives
- Single Malt Whisky 12 years, paired with milk chocolate with caramel and sea salt
- Nocino, paired with 85% bitter chocolate Togo
